Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actor from Australia. Cornish was best-known for her role in movies including Heidi, Fanny Brawne and Sweet Pea (in Sucker Punch), Lindy and RoboCop (2011) as well as Sarah and Geostorm (2017). In the latter film, Cornish received the first Screen Actors Guild Award as an actor in the film. Betty Gilpin.........................American actress Betty Gilpin was fortunate to have both of her parents be professional actors. Jack Gilpin, star of Adventureland 2009 and many other films was her father. Ann McDonough was her mother. Betty Gilpin was able to choose to become an actor thanks to the love and support she got from her family. When the time came to go back to college, she chose Fordham College where she learned to develop her skills. Gilpin auditioned, and then began to perform off-Broadway in shows after she graduated. The actress was invited to guest star on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001-2011) and followed it up with smaller roles in Ghost Town (2008) and The Northern Kingdom (2009). Gilpin was on TV as a guest on throughout the following years. She received her first break when she landed a role as a recurring character in Nurse Jackie. Gilpin was a part of Nurse Jackie for 34 seasons as Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin before it ended its run on June 15, 2015. Gilpin has also been seen in the thriller mystery True Story (2015).
